Teacher of the Month

This month is December. The month of snow and ice. So, we chose a teacher who is extra nice. Mrs. Bethany Rhodes has been chosen as teacher of the month!

Mrs.Bethany teaches sixth grade. She is 23 years old and almost 7 months pregnant. We interviewed her and asked her a series of questions. The questions and her answers are listed below.

#1. Why did you decide to become a teacher?

“ I wanted to help students learn in both life and academics.”

#2. In your opinion, what is the best part of teaching?

“ The best part of teaching for me is seeing the students understand a concept that they didn't before with the sparkle in their eyes. Also getting to give love to students who don't receive it otherwise. ”

#3. What would students be surprised to learn about you?

“ I do actually have favorites. ”

#4. What's the best part of your teaching experience so far?

“ I just love seeing how excited the students get about different life experiences both between the teacher and the students.”

#5. What college did you go to?

“ I went to the University of Tennessee at martin-parsons center

#6. What's some advice you can give us as students?

“ Always do your best no matter what is going on or how you feel and show respect at all times- even when it's hard to do.”
